Hounslow Highways has been on standby over the weekend for possible emergency situations following the Met Office’s severe weather warning.

The warning states that winds could hit speeds of 60mph tonight and into tomorrow morning.

Due to the large volume of improvement and renewal works throughout the borough, Hounslow Highways has assigned crews to secure barriers with cable ties and sand bags as appropriate.

The Hounslow Highways Emergency Response Unit is also being manned around the clock to review the situation and incoming weather reports to inform a response. The Emergency Response Unit will receive all incoming incident notifications and prioritise and coordinate an appropriate response.
