A licence permitted under the Highways Act 1980 must be held by any proprietor before placing any tables or chairs on a public highway or footway/footpath.
A licence permitted under the Highways Act 1980 must be held by any proprietor before placing any tables or chairs on a public highway or footway/footpath.
Should a licence not be held then the proprietor will be requested to remove the items until such time that a specific licence is granted through the council’s application and assessment procedure and then subsequently approved.
