Roads & footpaths

Working hard to improve the roads and footpaths across our borough.

As part of the first five years of our contract we will be resurfacing a large number of the roads and footpaths in Hounslow. The new road and footpath surfaces will be of a much higher quality and last much longer. The smoother, safer and longer lasting surfaces will make for a better driving and walking experience for everyone.

We aim to minimise disruption to residents, businesses and commuters during these works through letter-drops to those living and working in the affected roads and place advance warning signs and diversion routes where road closures are involved.

There will be times when you may not be able to park along your road, but we’ll try and minimise this as much as possible and provide advance notice.

We work with the utility companies that provide gas, electricity, telephone and cable services to ensure we coordinate and manage the activities to cause as little disruption as possible.

You can check out what works are happening over the next few months by clicking on the document attached below.

Please note that Highways England is responsible for the M25 and M4, whilst Transport for London (TfL) is responsible for the A4, A30, A406, A205, A312 and A316.

Hounslow Highways is undertaking resurfacing works on roads selected by the London Borough of Hounslow as part of their Pothole Pledge programme. Our list of works for this programme can be viewed here.
