Weeding Programme Start Date Update

The start date for the 2026 Weed Spraying Programme has been moved to Monday 18th May 2026. 

This change ensures the weeding is aligned with the Whole Street Cleanse (WSC) programme, as much as possible, allowing both approaches to work together more effectively and provide the best outcomes across the borough. 

All other aspects of the programme remain unchanged, including: 

• Weekday spraying only (no weekends) 
• Continued manual weed removal alongside spraying 
• A phased approach covering all wards
